The boxing world was watching in awe as Tim Tszyu and Sebastian Fundora’s world title fight descended into a bloody war.
Tszyu was ahead in the first two rounds before suffering a horror cut to the top of his head at the end of the second round, when he leaned in to Fundora and hit the opponent’s elbow.

It bled profusely despite the best efforts of his corner, while Fundora himself had a badly bloodied nose and mouth.
Commentator Maura Ranallo said it “like a crime scene”, after earlier labelling it “like a Tarantino movie”.
Boxing star Billy Dib was stunned that the fight wasn’t halted, while fellow fighter Tony Harrison – who Tszyu beat last year – called it an “old school bloody fight”.

Former cornerman turned author Grantlee Kieza wrote: “This is a bloody mess!”
He added: “Tim dominated early but has an axe wound in the middle of his head from an elbow”.
Later, he wrote: “Wow – goriest fight of all time”
Commentator Wade Plem said: “We have a DAWG FIGHT on our hands folks”

Famous boxing journalist Dan Rafael tweeted repeatedly about the sickening blood.
He described Tszyu’s cut as “like a horror movie”, while the pair were both called “bloody wrecks”.
