The Roosters have reportedly contacted star forward Victor Radley’s management and indicated they would like him to find another club in the NRL or the Super League, as they move to cut ties with the England international.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, the Roosters are genuinely considering the possibility of offloading Radley, who played in the club’s premiership wins in 2018 and 2019, to another club.
Alleged text messages between Radley and ex-teammate Brandon Smith have been revealed, which are part of police evidence into Smith’s looming charge on drug supply.

Radley has not been charged and there is no suggestion he obtained or took illegal drugs.
Radley is under contract with the Roosters for a further two seasons until the end of 2027.
His contract is worth a reported $700,000 per season.
Roosters chairman Nick Politis has been overseas on a business trip and is due back in Sydney on Thursday.
According to the report, the Roosters are considering their legal options and the terms and conditions of Radley’s contract as they look to part ways with the 27-year-old.
Radley’s situation was discussed on NRL 360 on Wednesday night.
“These text messages have come to light over the past 48 hours,” Michael Carayannis said on Fox League’s NRL 360.
“It’s my understanding the Roosters hierarchy are of the belief that Victor probably didn’t disclose everything that occurred a couple of weeks ago when the story originally broke.
“There are definitely rumblings within the Roosters camp that Victor Radley may have played his last game for the club.”

The content was described as “a surprise” to the club.
“It’s gonna be hard to sack him, because he hasn’t been charged,” Braith Anasta said.
Carayannis replied: “Whether or not they’ll have cause to sack him, that’s the (key) point.
“I feel like there’ll be a parting of the ways, they’ll work out some sort of agreement or arrangement. There’s definitely a push within the Roosters’ ranks that Victor won’t play for them again.”
Carayannis suggested Radley could head to the Super League as a marquee player next year because he would not count as an import.
He does not expect any of the other Roosters players who were on the trip with Radley and Smith to leave.
“Unless someone falls on their own sword, I don’t see how,” Carayannis said.
