Starc has moved to 18 as Australia scraped past its lowest ever home total against India (83).
Earlier Jasprit Bumrah removed Alex Carey with his very first ball of the day before Harshit Rana claimed the wicket of Nathan Lyon to continue India’s domination at Perth Stadium.
Starc was earlier involved in a good-natured exchange with former IPL teammate Rana after the Indian rookie struck him on the gloves and followed it up with a prolonged stare.
“I bowl faster than you Harshit,” Starc responded.
“I’ve got a long memory.”
At drinks in the first session Australia was 9-93, 57 runs behind India’s first innings score of 150.
