Premiership Magpie Brayden Maynard didn’t take part in Collingwood’s training session on Monday after he was involved in a car crash earlier in the day.
As first reported by 7 News Melbourne, Maynard was involved in a motor vehicle incident around 6am on Monday morning on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway.
Maynard missed training after the collision as Collingwood gathered details about the incident.

The Magpies on Monday night confirmed the incident took place, but no one was injured.
“Collingwood confirms Brayden Maynard was involved in a very minor car accident earlier this morning,” the Magpies’ statement read.

“Importantly, no one was hurt. Brayden exchanged contact details with the other driver with only minor damage to the exterior of Brayden’s vehicle.”
Maynard had spent the weekend with friends down at the beach.
The 27-year-old has only just returned to full training after recovering from a shoulder reconstruction.
Maynard played a crucial role in the Magpies’ 2023 premiership campaign, finishing equal second in the club’s best and fairest count for the second time in three seasons.
He was also central to the biggest tribunal case of the year, ultimately cleared over his contact with Angus Brayshaw in the qualifying final after the Demons star was left concussed.
