The biggest pro wrestling show in Australian history looms as WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth draws closer.
While the global grappling behemoth has previously held a show at the MCG, next February 24’s spectacular in Western Australia will be the most important WWE has ever held down under, given the stakes of the show itself.
This past Elimination Chamber, featuring a highly-anticipated Roman Reigns vs Sami Zayn main event, did huge numbers and February’s Optus Stadium show should be just as big on the road to WrestleMania.

WWE’s new owner TKO revealed in its earning call this week Elimination Chamber: Perth will earn the company its highest ever site fee (what is paid by the local government to bring the show to the city).
The previous high, outside of the Saudi Arabia shows which earn WWE some $US50 million a pop, was just under $AU5 million for the Clash at the Castle show held in Cardiff, Wales last year – and that sort of financial commitment will ensure Elimination Chamber: Perth is a show that matters.
The pre-sale is already underway with the general on-sale beginning this Friday November 10 from Ticketmaster.
WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth will be broadcast live in approximately 165 countries in 25 languages and seen in more than 1 billion homes
The globally-televised spectacle will feature a host of edge-of-your-seat matches – including the world famous ‘Elimination Chamber’ match – a large chain-linked steel structure surrounding the ring comprising four pod enclosures at each corner that will see two participants begin in the ring, with the remaining participants released from their pods at regular intervals with the final objective being to eliminate each other via pinfall or submission
The Elimination Chamber structure takes a 50-foot flatbed truck to transport and many hours of construction to be suspended over the ring in the centre of the stadium.
