IPL Auction LIVE: Almost 30 Aussies chasing million-dollar paydays as bid frenzy resumes

Almost 30 Aussies remain up for grabs on day two of the Indian Premier League mega auction, after records were smashed on the opening day of bidding.

Teams from the glamorous T20 tournament are continuing to build their rosters with Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant breaking the record after being bought by the Lucknow Super Giants for 27 crore ($AU4.92 million).

Aussie pacemen Josh Hazlewood ($AU2.29 million to Royal Challengers Bengaluru) and Mitch Starc ($AU2.14 million to Delhi Capitals) went for plenty as expected while there was huge interest in Marcus Stoinis ($AU2 million to Punjab Kings) and young gun Jake Fraser-McGurk ($AU1.64 million to Delhi Capitals).

Veteran all-rounder Glenn Maxwell also went to Punjab Kings, for $AU765,000, while Mitchell Marsh went to Lucknow Super Giants for $AU620,000. Leg-spinner Adam Zampa was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for $AU436,000.

Players who initially go unsold, as David Warner did on day one, can still be bought later in the process.

The likes of Alex Carey, Josh Inglis, Tim David and Steve Smith are on offer on day two.

The full auction will continue for another 32 players, beginning with Mayank Agarwal and ending with Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, before the accelerated auction process.
