West Coast is investigating an alleged street brawl which left one man hospitalised reportedly involving young forward Tyler Brockman.
Only contracted for one more season, the 23-year-old’s AFL career could be in jeopardy following the incident in Geraldton north of Perth, which was first reported by The West Australian.

Footage shows a man alleged to be Brockman shirtless and throwing a punch at another man, before heading towards another person who is then left clutching their head on the pavement.
“Oi Tyler! Tyler! Stop it, no stop it, stop,” one person can be heard saying, with the man on the ground left pleading “it’s not me. It’s not me bro. What did I do?”.
A person was hospitalised with a broken jaw following the incident.
However the footage does not show the entirety of the interaction, and Seven News reported Brockman’s management believed he was acting in self-defence.
“The West Coast Eagles are aware of an incident involving AFL player Tyler Brockman in Geraldton,” the club said in a statement.
“The club is providing support to Tyler while working to gather all relevant information about the incident and is unable to make any further comment at this time.”
In 2024, Brockman was involved in another incident in Geraldton, fined $1400 after crashing his car into a lightpole before fleeing the scene under what a magistrate described as “deeply suspicious circumstances”.
Brockman has played 56 AFL games, including 26 at Hawthorn after being taken with the No.46 pick in the 2020 Draft.
He was then traded to West Coast for picks 44 and 63, where he has added 30 matches. In 2025 he featured 20 times at AFL level, kicking 14 goals.
