Shock rumblings have emerged Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer is unsettled at the London club — with a return to Manchester on the cards.
That is according to multiple reports in England, who are claiming the 23-year-old talisman could re-join Manchester City or make a cross-town switch to Manchester United.
Palmer left the blue of his home town in 2023, joining Chelsea in a $79m AUD switch and since then has become one of the Premier League’s best players.

While life at Stamford Bridge got off to a flying start, he has battled with injuries this season and according to The Sun is ‘not particularly enjoying life down south’.
The same report claims that should Pep Guardiola depart City and be replaced by former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca in the future, he could return to the Manchester club.
Maresca has been rumoured to be lined up as Guardiola’s replacement.
Elsewhere, there’s been several reports linking Palmer with a move to United — the club he supported growing up.
Rene Meulensteen, who worked under Sir Alex Ferguson, was of the belief Palmer could join the club if they land Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.
The former Spurs boss has been one of several names in the mix to replace Ruben Amorim, with Michael Carrick recently appointed interim manager of the English giant.
‘Could Mauricio Pochettino convince Cole Palmer to come to Manchester United? Only if Chelsea would be willing to let him go,’ Meulensteen said.

‘Palmer is a fantastic player and I think he would suit Manchester United really well and the way they should be playing because he is a difference maker. That’s always what you want.
‘Palmer was a boyhood United fan and it’s actually too strange for words that United never picked up on it and made sure that they sounded him out about his plans if he ever were to leave City.
“It’s very strange that it never happened, in my opinion.’
Elsewhere, Sky Sports also reported Palmer could be “willing to return, despite his current contract which runs until the end of the 2033 season.
