Oscar Piastri appeared to be taunted by the Barmy Army as he walked around the MCG with England closing in on victory in the fourth Ashes Test on Saturday.
The Aussie F1 driver watched the Aussies get rolled for just 132 before Ben Stokes’ team secured England’s first Test victory in Australia for 15 years.

It was a brutal day of viewing for everyone involved in Australian cricket with the Day 2 conclusion costing Cricket Australia millions of dollars.
The governing body has been forced to refund all tickets purchased for Day 3 as a result of Australia losing 20 wickets in just 80 overs.
Piastri was interviewed by Fox Cricket standing out on the ground during the tea break with England at 2/77.
The sight of the popular Melburnian waking around the outside of the boundary rope certainly caused a stir.
The 24-year-old was also interviewed by a ground announcer inside the stadium with the interaction shown on the big screens.
The Barmy Army stuck the boot in during the interview by chanting: “You’re just a s*** Lando Norris”.
The travelling troupe were at it again as Piastri walked around the rope and the Aussie driver appeared to join in with the jeering with a big grin on his face.
Many fans were making the same cruel joke that it was not the first time Piastri has watched an Australian surrender victory to an Englishman.
Piastri missed out on the 2025 F1 world championship to McLaren teammate Norris after leading the championship by 34 points earlier this year.
The Australian’s late season dip handed the English driver his first world championship amid swirling conspiracy theories the world constructors champion outfit had shown Norris preferential treatment.
Piastri was all smiles during his public appearance on Saturday but it wouldn’t have lasted long as he watched England complete its 175 run chase with four wickets in the shed.
Piastri joined Aussie captain Pat Cummins and other players inside the MCG dressing room after the defeat.
He posed for a photo with Cummins, Alex Carey, Mitchell Starc, Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green at the end of the day’s play.
When speaking with Fox Cricket’s Mark Howard on Kayo earlier, Piastri also opened up on how he is preparing for the 2026 F1 season.
The Formula 1 grid is facing a huge shake-up under new technical regulations with McLaren no certainty to remain the top dog in the F1 paddock.
“There’ll be some subtle differences,” he said of the new cars for 2026.
“But it’s still going to look like an F1 car, but the engines are going to be very different. A lot more electric powered compared to the combustion engines. And there’s going to be a lot of things for us drivers to get used to. A lot of things that we would never have to have done in a race car before in terms of managing that battery power more.
“There’s going to be a lot of points where you can make a difference as a driver, which I think should be exciting for the fans.
“With a new rule set you never know who is going to nail it and who’s not so hopefully we’re one of the people who nail it.”
