Jeremy Cameron put on his Superman cape with a career-best 11 goals and Geelong demolished North Melbourne by 101 points.
It was the Cameron show at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night as the Roos were left helpless by the superstar forward’s dominance in the 22. 18 (150) to 7.7 (49) victory.
The Coleman Medal leader, who’s now on 69 goals for the season and a whole 21 majors clear of Mitch Georgiades, kicked three goals in the first 10 minutes alone to set up his monster night.

Bailey Smith was also enormous from the midfield, tallying a career-best 43 disposals, while Shannon Neale added four goals as the Cats ran riot.
It extended Geelong’s winning streak over North Melbourne to 14, which dates back to 2015, as it climbed back into fourth spot and got a healthy percentage booster.
So in control was Chris Scott’s 13-6 team in the one-sided affair that it was able to manage Patrick Dangerfield, subbing out the veteran skipper in the third quarter.
Meanwhile North’s dire season continued, falling to 4-1-14 to remain anchored in the bottom two.

3. JEZZA MASTERCLASS AS STAR BAGS CAREER-HIGH 11 GOALS… AND IS 100 IN REACH?
It was a complete and utter Jeremy Cameron masterclass at Marvel Stadium as the Cats superstar continued his brilliant season with a career-best 11 majors.
In fact, Cameron’s 11.1 (67) singlehandedly outscored North Melbourne’s 7.7 (49) on the night.
Cameron was on from the early goings of this one, kicking three goals in the first 10 minutes alone.
“That’s just arrogance!,” Cats great Cameron Mooney said on Fox Footy in the first quarter after Cameron’s third goal.
Former Magpies coach Nathan Buckley added: “It’s well placed arrogance.”
Cameron, the AFL’s leading goalkicker, consistently got out the back to expose North Melbourne’s defence and lack of pressure further up the field.
It broke Mooney and Kent Kingsey’s co-record of seven goals as a Geelong player at the Docklands venue.
“He has been exceptional. A lot of forward supply, they’re winning clearances and North has just not been able to defend Geelong through the middle of the field at all,” Collingwood legend Nathan Buckley said at half-time.
“Jeremy Cameron and the rest of his cohort and front six have been able to have their way.
“It’s put a lot of pressure on the North Melbourne defenders who aren’t doing the job.”
It brought Cameron’s season tally to 69 goals and 21 ahead of Mitch Georgiades.
It prompted Buckley during the third term to question if Cameron could be a genuine chance of kicking 100 goals — a feat not achieved since Buddy Franklin in 2008 — with games against Port Adelaide, Essendon (both GMHBA Stadium), Sydney (SCG) and Richmond (MCG) to come for Geelong, plus finals.
“I tell you what, if he gets 100 goals, (Geelong) probably win the grand final,” Hawks legend Dermott Brereton said.
Either way, it consolidated Cameron’s spot as the Coleman Medal leader and on track to shatter his record of 76 goals for the Giants in 2019.

2. … AND ARE ROOS PROGRESSING?
While Jeremy Cameron was the story, it was an all too familiar tale for the hapless Roos.
North Melbourne suffered its biggest loss of 2025 and the biggest loss of any team in ugly scenes for Alastair Clarkson’s young side, that again looks destined for a bottom two or three finish.
Sure, the Roos were missing two of their absolute big guns in Tristan Xerri and Nick Larkey. But North fans would be left wondering when they’re going to see some true improvement under four-time premiership coach and ‘messiah’ Clarkson after several painful years at the wrong end of the ladder.
The Cats were too easily able to move the ball forward as Cameron (career-best 11 goals) and Bailey Smith (career-best 43 disposals) torched them and opened them up defensively.
“They’ve had some better performances this year. But when you see a game like this, it’s difficult to see that development and progress,” former Magpies coach Nathan Buckley said.
“When I talk about now versus later, they’re quite clearly not getting the balance right, because you should be more competitive than they are.
“They’ve got eight players who have played 20 games or less. That’s a lot of inexperience.”
Of course, North also backed itself to make inroads this year after trading its 2025 first-round pick to Richmond last year in a selection swap.
Yet the Roos appear on track for a sixth-straight bottom two finish in year three under Clarkson as more questions are sure to come on the struggling club.
1. BAZ ALSO FIRES AMID CHEEKY FAN EXCHANGE
A lot of Cameron’s dominance up forward was a result of the Cats’ supremacy in the midfield, led by Bailey Smith.
Smith notched his own personal best return with 43 touches (23 contested) to go with 13 clearances and eight score involvements to chop up North at the coalface in a Geelong feast.
The star midfielder was at his cheeky best too, engaging with a Roos fan in the stands with some friendly back and forth in the first term.
“He’s had the lion’s share of the disposals … he’s found his own footy and enjoying it,” Collingwood legend Nathan Buckley said.
“In the first quarter, (the Roos fan) had a chat to him and he wanted to have a chat back, saying: ‘G’day, we’ll catch up after. Where are you going for a beer? Yeah, we’ll catch up’. I think that’s probably about all we got.
“(Smith) polarises some, doesn’t he? But what he needs to do is continue to bring that workrate and energy to his team and for his club and for his football. That’s what he does.”
