Ice hockey is a sport known for its brawls, but even notoriously willing fighters like Bob Probert, Dave ‘Tiger Williams and Chris Nilan may need to step up their game after children stole the show during a match on Sunday (AEDT).
AHL side the Hershey Bears won a thriller 3-2 but it was the children during an intermission that was all anyone was talking about.

Between periods at the Giant Center in Pennsylvania, a ‘Mites’ match – a three-minute game between 6 and 8-year-olds often held during breaks in play – stole the show.
Just seconds into the clash, chaos erupted.
Haymakers were thrown with tiny gloved fists as the kids tackled and punched each other.
Not a single official was seen in sight as kids threw for the fences and tackled one another.
The spectacle only got crazier when a goalie charged in and completely flattened a young player grappling with his teammate.

Such was the mania that some of the kids began throwing with their own teammates.
Granted, junior sport is never the most skilful, but this took the cake with neither team interested in goals, instead only with expending youthful aggression on any child in sight.
The clip unsurprisingly went viral with fans loving every bit of it as the children all exited uninjured but more than a little puffed out.
“That fight was awesome. I’m pretty sure I even saw a few friendly fire punches thrown in the mix there as well. These kids didn’t give a rat’s behind who was standing in front of them, they were throwing,” one user wrote.
“But obviously the MVP of this donnybrook was the goalie in white. That kid is the definition of a menace. Just went full Neil Little out there with zero hesitation.”
“Best mites on ice ever,” hockey fan Connor Flo commented.
“That is the best thing I have ever seen” another fan wrote.
