Alastair Clarkson’s trio of boom recruits – Caleb Daniel, Luke Parker and Jack Darling – will all pull on the royal blue and white for the first time with play set to get underway from 10am at Arden Street.
Melbourne are missing a host of stars, including Max Gawn, Christian Petracca and Jack Viney, which opens the door for some of their young guns to press their case for round one selection.
First round draftees Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay will both get a run, as will former Lion Harry Sharp.
Star midfielder Clayton Oliver has been tearing up the track over summer and will also play.
Roos fans will also get a taste of prized draftee Finn O’Sullivan, as well as ex-Swan Jacob Konstanty and untried duo Taylor Goad and Finnbar Maley.
The Melbourne faithful will get to watch mature-aged recruit Aidan Johnson go about his business, likewise rising defender Jed Adams and draftee Ricky Mentha jnr.
