Latrell Mitchell is looking primed to return from injury with a bang, judging by the new look physique the Rabbitohs star has unveiled at training.
Mitchell suffered a hamstring injury in a horror pre-season training session that also saw Rabbitohs captain Cameron Murray rupture his Achilles, ruling him out for the season.

The right hamstring injury was expected to rule Mitchell out for eight weeks, and he has returned to training, making quite the impression in footage released by South Sydney on Wednesday, which you can watch below.
The 27-year-old looked in superb shape and noticeably trim as he did some running, agility drills and trained on the exercise bike — raising hopes he could return to action earlier than first expected.
“The Ferrari was out of the garage at Souths training today and .. have a look at him, he looks a million bucks,” Fox League’s James Hooper said on NRL 360.
“He’s obviously recovering well from that hamstring issue.
“I think he’s got one date circled on the calendar and that’s Round 5, against the Sydney Roosters .
“… I think his rehab has been sensational, he’s looked after himself … it would be awesome to see him back for that Round 5 game. He looks cherry ripe.”
Also sporting a beard and a fresh haircut, Mitchell’s lean transformation drew plenty of praise from pundits and Rabbitohs supporters, who are eagerly awaiting his return from injury.
The Rabbitohs are one of five undefeated teams after claiming narrow victories over the Dolphins and St George Illawarra in their first two games of the season.
Jack Wighton has been named to return from this suspension this weekend, while Mitchell, winger Alex Johnston (Achilles), Euan Aitken (pectoral) and Tyrone Munro (collarbone) are expected to be available for selection in the coming weeks.
The Rabbitohs play Cronulla on Saturday afternoon at Shark Park.
