Bulldogs coach Cameron Ciraldo stopped short of naming them but said several of his players let their teammates down in an embarrassing 44-8 loss to the Dolphins on Thursday night.
Canterbury forward Jake Turpin looked to have scored and closed the gap to six points with 22 minutes to play, but the try was controversially disallowed.
Referee Todd Smith ruled that the pass from Reed Mahoney that put Turpin over was forward, but replays showed it was flat at best.

The Dolphins then scored 24 unanswered points in the pouring rain to see out a gutsy win on the road.
“I didn’t think it was forward, obviously,” Ciraldo said.
“But I just said to them in the sheds, they were the much better team and we weren’t playing well but we gave ourselves an opportunity to be only one try behind.
“I thought that was a try and it would have made the game more interesting but at the end of the day you can’t finish the way we did, so we can’t worry about decisions.
“The Dolphins got some decisions go against them last week and copped it on the chin. That might be one that went against us, and a couple of others, but we didn’t deserve to win.”
Matt Burton was one of the few shining lights for the Bulldogs as the five-eighth worked tirelessly all night despite copping a head knock.
“I thought Burto was probably one of our best, like he was competing until the end, even with the scoreboard the way it was,” Ciraldo said.

“I think he just got a clip to the jaw there and got checked. But he was outstanding, there were a few others in the team that probably let blokes like Burton down and we have to look at why that happened.
“They were tough conditions but the Dolphins handled them a lot better than we did, they were the much better team, they beat us in every part of the game, they took their chances when they earned field position and were way more desperate defensively.
“That was disappointing from our point of view but a lot of guys got opportunities tonight and I’m sure they’ll learn from it.
“We should have played better than that, you can’t make 16 errors and make poor decisions. Fatigue is not an excuse.”
