Pochettino also makes his return as manager of one of Tottenham’s bitter rivals, fanning the flames for what promises to be a spicy London derby.
As for Postecoglou, the focus will be on maintaining Tottenham’s unbeaten start to the season.
Victory over Chelsea would also return Tottenham to the top of the league, having dropped to second after Manchester City’s 6-1 thrashing of Bournemouth on Sunday.
In a major boost for Postecoglou, left back Destiny Udogie passed a late fitness test and was named in the starting lineup.
Udogie missed the trip to Selhurst Park against Crystal Palace but makes his return.
However, the match comes too soon for Ben Davies to make his return from injury.
