The fifth placed Sixers need to win to jump the Heat into fourth spot, while the last placed Thunder are playing for pride in their final game of the season.
The Sixers are coming off a rained out clash with the Hurricanes, while the Thunder beat the Renegades in a thriller.
Smith and Babar Azam will lead the charge with the bat for the Sixers, while Starc and Ben Dwarshuis will be key with ball in hand.
For the Thunder Warner and Matt Gilkes have been amongst the runs this season, while Wes Agar and Chris Green will lead the bowling attack.
