The AFLW will open season 10 the same way it opened season one, with a showdown between traditional rivals Carlton and Collingwood at Ikon Park.
Both the Blues and Magpies are desperate to make amends for disappointing 2024 seasons, finishing 14th and last respectively.
They will unveil big names in their opening game of the 2025 campaign in attempts to climb back up the ladder.

Collingwood will debut No.1 draft pick Ash Centra, just the second player ever taken by the club at No.1 overall in the draft after Josh Fraser (1999), along with father-daughter recruit Violet Patterson.
Her dad Stephen, a 96-game Magpie who now serves in the South Australian parliament, also debuted against the Blues.
Meanwhile hosts Carlton will debut Sophie McKay, the younger sister of captain Abbie and daughter of former men’s captain Andrew, and top draft pick Poppy Scholz.

Later tonight in the second game of an opening night double-header, Daisy Pearce’s West Coast hosts Rhyce Shaw’s Gold Coast.
Carlton vs Collingwood gets underway at 7:15pm AEST from Ikon Park.
