Jaeman Salmon is set for an extended stint on the sidelines after suffering an ankle injury in Round 10. In his place, Harry Hayes has been named in the back row, with Luke Smith named on the pine to make his NRL debut.
Lindsay Collins returns in a huge boost for the Roosters, being named on the bench after battling with a knee injury. He hasn’t taken the field since Round 5 but will be desperate to impress in his bid to be named in Billy Slater’s Queensland side. The 29-year-old has been a mainstay for Queensland since making his debut in 2020. Since then, he has only missed the 2021 series due to an ACL injury and has played every game across the four series he has been fit for. Collins goes to a new level in the Origin arena and delivered a mammoth performance in Game III of the 2020 series. Queensland fans will also never forget his effort to soar over James Tedesco and set up a try in the 2023 series opener. Collins is a leader in the Maroons pack, and Billy Slater will be watching intently to see if he gets through his return game unscathed.
