Kyle Flanagan’s season is hanging in the balance as the Dragons playmaker prepares to front the NRL Judiciary over biting allegations.
Flanagan was hit with a dangerous contact charge and referred straight to the judiciary following the incident, which occurred in the Dragons’ loss to the Bulldogs on Saturday night.
It is alleged that Flanagan bit the nose of Bulldogs captain Stephen Crichton during a tackle.

According to reports, the incident was discussed with NRL officials and the ground manager at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium on Saturday but Crichton and the Bulldogs chose not to lodge an official complaint.
The Bulldogs star will also not attend the hearing or appear via video link on Tuesday night to give evidence. He has the option to give evidence via a written letter but it remains to be seen whether he takes that up.
The Dragons have hired James McLeod to defend Flanagan, who is pleading not guilty to the dangerous contact charge.

If found guilty, the St George Illawarra five-eighth can expect a suspension. Last season, Jack Wighton received a three-game ban for biting Tyson Gamble.
It is the last thing the Dragons need given they are in the hunt to play finals this year but need to win their remaining games to nail down a spot in the top eight.
The hearing will begin at 6pm AEST.
