Shane Flanagan has rolled out the big guns for his side’s final trial, naming what could be his starting 17 for his side’s Las Vegas venture. Clint Gutherson, Val Holmes, Damien Cook and the new halves pairing of Kyle Flanagan and Daniel Atkinson will turn out against the Rabbitohs. Meanwhile, new recruit Setu Tu looks to have won a spot on the wing over fellow signing David Fale, with Christian Tuipulotu named on the other edge. Hame Sele has been named at lock, while Toby Couchman and Emre Guler partner in the front row.
Wayne Bennett has named a largely inexperienced side for his team’s first trial, with former Dragons fullback Matt Dufty wearing the No.1 jersey against his former club. Dufty was not offered a new contract at the Dragons at the end of the 2021 season, spending the last few years in the Super League. Broncos recruit Latrell Siegwalt has been named in the centres, while Ashton Ward also partners former Dragons playmaker Jonah Glover in the halves. Peter Mamouzelos wears the No.9, while Storm signing Broncos Garlick will start at lock. On the bench, a host of first graders have been named include Jamie Humphreys, Tevita Tatola, Sean Keppie and Liam Le Blanc.
