Benji Marshall’s first team for the 2026 season includes some exciting names, with Queensland Maroons under 19s playmaker Javon Andrews named in the No.6 alongside Jock Madden. Former Titans winger Patrick Herbert has been named in the centre, while rising star Heamasi Makasini lines up alongside him in the No.3 jersey. Tristan Hope has been named at hooker, with Kit Laulilii and Sione Fainu at prop. Heath Mason is the fullback, while former Panthers young gun has been named on the bench and will likely spent some time at the back after making the switch to play under Marshall. Attard is joined by Solomone Saukuru, Christian Taupau-Moors and Jared Haywood on the bench.
The highly-rated Rex Bassingthwaighte has been named in the No.1 jersey, completing a pre-season apprenticeship under James Tedesco. He is one to keep your eye on, while Hugo Savala and Toby Rodwell make up Trent Robinson’s halves pairing. Junior Tupou, Tommy Talau, Tom Rodwell and Junior Pauga complete the backline, with first grade regulars littered throughout the forward pack. Ethan Butcher, Taylor Losalu, Salesi Foketia, Nat Butcher and Siua Wong have all been named in the run-on side. Benaiah Ioelu wears the No.9 while hulking prop De La Salle Va’a has been named on the bench. Rising playmaker Jake Elliott will also get some minutes after being named on the extended bench.
