Smith has made a blistering start, opening the day with five-straight birdies at one point after an early bogey on his third hole of the round. He sits tied at the top of the leaderboard alongside Frenchman Jean Bekirian at four-under.
Australian LPGA stars Minjee Lee and Steph Kyriacou are in the group behind, while there is also action taking place on what promises to be a busy day of golf as the men’s, women’s and All Abilities events are played at the same time across the two courses, but in different groups and from different tees.
