Konstas hit the fastest 50 in team history, and became the youngest player to hit a half-century in the Big Bash, when he reached the milestone in just 20 balls against the Strikers in Canberra.
But it was still up to Daniel Sams to get the Thunder home, with an equal-BBL record 31-run over off the bowling of Lloyd Pope in the 19th sparking a famous win.
Now they face perennial contenders the Sixers, who’ll be without Daniel Hughes after he suffered a season-ending elbow injury in the team’s win over the Renegades.
