Life after Taylor Walker looks pretty for Adelaide, if the start of Friday night’s match simulation against Port Adelaide is anything to go by.
First-round draftees Riley Thilthorpe and Darcy Fogarty kicked the first two goals of the match, with Thilthorpe particularly impressive with his presence in the air.
“He just looks bigger and bigger every time I see him, Riley Thilthorpe,” ex-Power captain Tom Jonas told Fox Footy. “Seeing him crash a pack is really important for the Crows.”

The Power will be without recently re-signed Todd Marshall (foot), but fellow key forward Mitch Georgiades will run out for his hit-out since his ACL injury last season. All four Power trade acquisitions — Esava Ratugolea, Ivan Soldo, Jordon Sweet and Brandon Zerk-Thatcher — have been named.
The Crows will be without Rory Sloane, Wayne Milera, Jordon Butts and Jake Soligo due to injury, but top draftee Dan Curtin has been named.
The Power will be hoping for a couple of star performers on the wing – a position that’s “definitely open”, according to assistant Josh Carr.
“We’ve got a pretty fit back 15 so yeah, there’s a fair chance that someone will get an opportunity to move up the ground,” Carr told reporters.
“(Travis) Boaky’s had a strong pre-season playing on the wing. You know, that’s probably his position now, with the guys that we’ve got inside. The great thing about Boaky on the wings is his leadership. He’s able to talk to the guys inside, but at the same time, in games, if we do need something different, we know that he’s been a very good mid for us for a long period of time.”
The match gets underway at 5:30pm AEDT from Alberton Oval.
The only way to watch it live is via Fox Footy (channel 504) and/or streaming on Kayo.
