Australia were left flabbergasted when a Shan Masood lbw decision was reversed by DRS after replays showed the ball flying over the stumps despite striking the batter in the knee roll.
Nathan Lyon trapped Masood on the pads with the fifth ball of his first over on day four and he was given out for 12, but the Pakistan skipper opted to challenge the decision.
Replays showed the ball hit Masood in line, but ball tracking said the ball was going well over the top of the stumps, much to the disbelief of the Australian players.

TALKING POINTS: Great’s truth over exploding cricket chaos; ‘unforgivable’ error turns Test
‘I’m not sure how he can give that out’ | 01:47
“Shan Masood saved by bounce,” Isa Guha said on Fox Cricket.
The sight of the Australian team in shock at the sight of the replay and DRS decision on the big screen caught Kerry O’Keeffe‘s eye in commentary.
“I don’t think the Australian jury is all that happy with that,” O’Keeffe said.
“They are not unanimous in support of that. Lots of cries of, oh what?”
Adam Gilchrist agreed it was a contentious height for the ball to travel given where it struck Masood on the pad, despite the Pakistan captain’s tall stature.
“There was a good stride in, but deep into the middle of the pad,” Gilchrist said.
“It just sounded good if an LBW can sound good, the way it thudded into the middle of that pad. He is a tallish man.”
Gilchrist and Guha couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at Lyon, who was visibly in shock over the decision.
“The replay was showing to go well over,” Gilchrist continued.

“Still got a fair way to go. The best part of two metres.
“Enough to tear your hair out.”
“If you have some,” Guha added.
