Should Luai choose to contest the charge at the judiciary and lose he faces being rubbed out for two weeks.
Luai will miss the Tigers’ clash with the Broncos on Saturday night at Suncorp Stadium with an early plea, but could miss the following clash with the Knights if he risks it at the judiciary.
Latu Fainu looms as Luai’s likely replacement at halfback, but could also be used on the bench, with Api Koroisau moving into the halves and Tallyn Da Silva starting at hooker.
Meanwhile, Luai’s Tigers teammate Alex Seyfarth can escape with a $1000 fine for his careless high tackle charge with an early guilty plea.
Seyfarth was placed on report for a high shot on Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad.
