Collingwood champion Scott Pendlebury has accused his former manager and long-time friend of misappropriating more than $2 million from his investment accounts.
The Herald Sun first reported Pendlebury was suing Jason Sourasis for more than $2.6 million in the Supreme Court.
The Magpies veteran filed a claim late last week seeking money he alleges was taken from his bank account, repayment of a $300,000 of a loan he says was never repaid, interest, and damages.

The Herald Sun reported the documents allege Sourasis borrowed the $300,000 from Pendlebury in 2023, saying he only needed the money for a day, with Pendlebury agreeing to lend it with 50 per cent per annum interest.
But the alleged debt has not been repaid.
In a statement to The Age, Sourasis said “the allegations are vehemently denied and as a legal process has been started we can’t make any further comment at this stage”.
Pendlebury also alleges Sourasis “shuffled more than $2.1m out of his investment accounts without permission”, the report states.
“In the claim, the two-time premiership player says he discovered what he alleges to be an almost decade-long series of rorts by his once-trusted manager and financial adviser after a review of his finances in February this year.
“A schedule of the transactions shows they were in amounts ranging from as little as $8000, up to $305,000.
“The first of those transactions took place in January 2015, and the last occurred in February this year.”
Much of the money was allegedly sent to entities linked to struggling A-League football team Western United, which was stripped of its license earlier this year amid long-term stadium troubles.
