MotoGP has announced its longest-ever calendar for the 2025 season, with the return of the Czech Republic and Hungary and a season-opener set for Thailand for the first time the highlights of a 22-round schedule announced on Thursday.

Fan favourite Brno will host the Czechia Grand Prix for the first time since 2020 next July, while Hungary – off the world championship schedule since 1992 – returns to the calendar at the new Balaton Park circuit on the outskirts of Budapest in August.

The Buriram circuit in Thailand will host the season-opener on 2 March after the past two seasons opened in Portugal in 2023 and Qatar this season, while Argentina, excised from this year’s calendar because of ongoing economic concerns in the country, is scheduled to host round two of the season at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit in March.
Great Britain (from August this year to May next year), Aragon (September to June) and Catalunya (May to September) have the most significant date changes year on year.

Phillip Island will host the fourth-last event of the 22-round calendar in its traditional October timeslot in the penultimate year of MotoGP’s contract with Australia, which expires after the 2026 event.
India, which debuted in 2023 and had its September date for this season cancelled in May, was left off the 2025 calendar and provisionally postponed to 2026.
The inaugural Kazakhstan Grand Prix, initially set for 2023 and postponed twice this year because of flooding in the Sokol region, will not go ahead next year.
