Tarryn Thomas is reportedly set to receive a lengthy suspension from the AFL.
The AFL Integrity Unit was investigating Thomas after allegations of inappropriate behaviour by the Roos midfielder were made by a female in January.
Nine reporter Tom Morris said on Monday afternoon Thomas had been handed an 18-week suspension by the league — a ban that had been ticked off by the AFL Commission. The report suggested the penalty would be served in its entirety, meaning none of the 18 weeks are ‘suspended’.

An AFL spokesperson told foxfooty.com.au that the league’s investigation was ongoing.
Kangaroos football boss Todd Viney told the Herald Sun that details of the most recent allegations against Thomas hadn’t been shared to the club.
“The reality is we haven’t had the information of what has happened on this last investigation,” Viney said.
“We will take our time to have a look at that (the findings) and see what the AFL has found and have some time to think about our next position.”
Thomas has been training away from his teammates while the Integrity Unit investigated.
The 2024 season is the final of Thomas’ current contract. And should he cop a lengthy ban and miss over half the season, there’d be serious doubt over a potential AFL return this year and further uncertainty around his career at the Kangaroos.
Thomas was suspended in February last year amid accusations he had made “serious and confronting” threats of violence towards women.
He was also criticised for a deleted video which showed him driving dangerously, with his feet up on the dashboard while straddling two lanes on a drive between Sydney and Melbourne.
In July, a charge was dropped after he agreed to donate $1000 to charity, having been charged with threatening to distribute an intimate image of another person.
Thomas has played 69 senior games for the Kangaroos since being drafted with pick No. 8 in the 2018 national draft.
