The match is being played at the Gabba to accommodate with women’s FIFA World Cup, with Australia hosting Nigeria at Suncorp Stadium at the same time.
MATCH CENTRE: Broncos v Roosters, teams, stats, video, highlights
Kevin Walters was forced to reshuffle his pack after Broncos young gun Brendan Piakura was ruled out with illness.
It is the second game the forward will miss after a virus saw him scratched from their win over the Rabbitohs last week and rising star Xavier Willison will replace him.
Willison, 20, is a 198cm forward and has averaged 20 minutes per game for 56 running metres off the bench this season.
The Roosters are looking to build on their momentum after finally returning to winning ways against the Titans last week.
But Trent Robinson’s men will likely have to win all of their remaining six games to guarantee a top eight spot.
Roosters lock Victor Radley is racing the clock to overcome a hamstring injury but the club are reasonably confident he’ll play.
