David Warner’s 164 against Pakistan in his swan song Test series was an innings for the ages, and Fox Cricket viewers have been given exceptional access about how the opener went about it.
Both Warner and opening partner Usman Khawaja were mic’d up, proving plenty of entertaining moments.
Warner produced the shot of the day with a ramp-like stroke over fine leg for a huge six as he fell to the ground, and Khawaja couldn’t contain his disbelief.

“Oh my god!” Khawaja exclaimed just as Warner made contact.

Warner has said before how he doesn’t feel pressure anymore when he bats, and it wasn’t evidenced more so than a grab which showed the man nicknamed “Raging Bull” calmly whistling as a Pakistan player ran into bowl.
Not only does Warner bat with a cerebral focus, it’s clear he is a cricket tragic who is smart and does research on the opposition.
The mic’d up footage showed Warner giving insight on the Pakistani bowlers on a number of occasions, but what was most impressive was the freakish prediction the prolific opener gave before reaching his century.
“This is 100% going to be a bouncer,” Warner said.

Sure enough, pace bowler Aamer Jamal bowled a short one into Warner, which was delicately played over the top of the slips cordon for a boundary to bring up a 26th Test century.
“The Raging Bull was ever entertaining,” Adam Gilchrist said on Fox Cricket.
“It was fantastic to watch and to listen to how relaxed he was at certain times, the intensity as well.”
“He’s so instinctive but he’s a really smart cricketer as well. He knows what’s coming at him and he’s prepared for everything,” Isa Guha added.
