ROUND 5 TEAMS AND FIXTURE (all times AEST)

ADELAIDE CROWS v CARLTON

Thursday April 9, 7:40pm at Adelaide Oval

Crows’ Round 4 side

B: J.Borlase, N.Murray, M.Michalanney

HB: H.Bond, J.Worrell, W.Milera

C: I.Rankine, J.Dawson (c), C.Jones

HF: B.Keays, T.Walker, L.Pedlar

F: J.Soligo, R.Thilthorpe, F.Maley

FOLL: L.McAndrew, S.Berry, J.Rachele

I/C: R.O’Brien, A.Neal-Bullen, J.Peatling, B.Cook, Z.Taylor

EMG: L.Nankervis

Team Tips: Both Isaac Cumming (illness) and Darcy Fogarty (back) were late outs in their two-point Good Friday loss to Fremantle, and only the former will return. 9News’ Braden Ingram reported the Crows are adamant Fogarty’s disc-related back issue flared up at a captain’s run last Thursday, not while he was playing in a golf tournament the day before. It saw Finnbar Maley and Chayce Jones take the field in their place, and you’d suspect Jones — fresh off his 100th AFL game — will make way for Cumming. While he didn’t get much of the ball himself, James Borlase held star Fremantle forward Josh Treacy to just two goals and was honourable. Expect him to keep his spot another week, given Jordan Butts will remain in concussion protocols after his delayed diagnosis, while Luke Pedlar enters protocols and subsequently won’t be available to play against Carlton. In a boost, Rory Laird is available for selection after overcoming a minor soleus strain. In the SANFL side’s 17-point loss to Woodville-West Torrens last Thursday, Billy Dowling again put his hand up for senior duties with 30 disposals, seven clearances and two goals, while the uncapped Charlie Edwards had similar numbers minus the majors. The duo of Mitch Hinge and Toby Murray also made successful returns from injury, while emergency Luke Nankervis didn’t play after being held over as back-up for the AFL side.

Blues’ Round 4 side

B: L.Cowan, J.Weitering, N.Newman

HB: O.Florent, W.Derksen, J.Boyd

C: E.Hollands, P.Cripps (c), M.Carroll

HF: W.Hayward, H.McKay, B.Ainsworth

F: T.Byrne, B.Kemp, J.Smith

FOLL: M.Pittonet, G.Hewett, S.Walsh

I/C: L.Young, O.Hollands, A.Cerra, F.Evans, M.McGovern

EMG: F.Young, A.Saad, B.Acres

Team Tips: Michael Voss has a massive Jacob Weitering void to fill after the star Blues defensive stopper was struck down with concussion. Not ideal timing against Adelaide’s triple-headed forward monster of Riley Thilthorpe, Darcy Fogarty and Taylor Walker. And the 1-3 Blues might need to replace Will Hayward too if the recruit can’t overturn his suspension at the tribunal. With regards to defensive coverage, Harry Dean is still another week away from his own concussion injury. So if they want to replace Weitering with a like-for-like, Nick Haynes should be in the frame to return to the senior side. Elsewhere, Flynn Young, after being listed as an emergency last week, should also come into senior calculations after a three-goal, 18-disposal effort in the VFL, while Jack Ison kicked three majors himself in the twos. Adam Saad and Blake Acres continue to toil in the VFL as other options to earn a recall, while Lachie Fogarty and Matt Cottrell also remain outside the senior team. Talor Byrne was quiet against North in his second game and could come under selection pressure. One who won’t be back at AFL level is Liam Reidy after the ruckman copped a one-game ban for a rough conduct charge in the VFL.

‘I speak my mind’ Scott lashes wild card | 00:34

COLLINGWOOD v FREMANTLE

Friday April 10, 7:40pm at Adelaide Oval

Magpies’ Round 4 side

B: B.Frampton, J.Howe, B.Maynard (c)

HB: D.Houston, J.Daicos, H.Perryman

C: J.Crisp, L.Sullivan, S.Sidebottom

HF: L.Schultz, J.De Goey, B.McCreery

F: J.Elliott, T.Membrey, D.McStay

FOLL: O.Steene, N.Long, P.Lipinski

I/C: I.Quaynor, D.Cameron, L.Sullivan, W.Hayes, R.Steele

EMG: J.Buller, A.Anderson

Team Tips: All eyes are on how Nick Daicos after a corked calf forced the superstar to be a late withdrawal against Brisbane. According to Collingwood’s injury update on Tuesday, Daicos “has progressed well over the weekend and resumed training with the team”. His availability will be determined after Wednesday’s main training, with AFL Media earlier reporting that Collingwood expects Daicos to face Fremantle in Gather Round. Meanwhile, Scott Pendlebury is expected to return from an Achilles injury in a welcome boost, having returned to main training. His availability will also be decided post-Wednesday’s session. Will Hayes was quiet in his first game of 2026 against Brisbane and got the second-least amount of game time of any Magpie as the most likely to cop the axe. As questions come on Collingwood’s midfield depth, mature-aged draftee Angus Anderson (28 disposals, eight tackles, one goal) put his hand up for a debut with a strong showing in the VFL, while Jack Buller booted three four goals in the twos to stake his claim for a recall and Charlie West added three majors. Even though they lost to Brisbane by 54 points, feels like a relatively settled team … for now.

Dockers’ Round 4 side

B: B.Cox, A.Pearce (c), H.Chapman

HB: J.Clark, L.Ryan, J.McVee

C: J.O’Meara, A.Brayshaw, M.Johnson

HF: S.Bolton, P.Voss, S.Switkowski

F: J.Amiss, J.Treacy, M.Reid

FOLL: S.Darcy, L.Jackson, C.Serong

I/C: C.Scerri, I.Dudley, N.Erasmus, C.Wagner, K.Worner

EMG: M.Cox, B.Banfield, N.O’Driscoll

Team Tips: One of the more settled line-ups, even if they only edged past Adelaide. Justin Longmuir has confirmed Hayden Young (hamstring) and Michael Frederick (ankle) are still at least another week away. In Young’s case specifically, the Dockers would be reluctant to rush him back, particularly for a road trip to Adelaide. Mason Cox starred in the WAFL with 23 disposals, 45 hit-outs and a goal. If there was even a week to give Sean Darcy a rest and bring in Cox, it’d be this week against the American ruckman’s former side! Darcy played just 43 per cent game time against Adelaide, too. Chris Scerri could find himself vulnerable at selection after a quiet showing against the Crows, with the likes of Nathan O’Driscoll, Jeremy Sharp and Brandon Walker waiting in the wings if required.

Is Neale the answer for Reid mentor? | 03:17

NORTH MELBOURNE v BRISBANE LIONS

Saturday April 11, 12:35pm at Barossa Park

Kangaroos’ Round 4 side

B: L.McDonald, T.Pink, C.Comben

HB: F.O’Sullivan, C.Daniel, T.Blamires

C: J.Simpkin, T.Powell, D.Stephens

HF: P.Curtis, C.Trembath, C.McKercher

F: C.Zurhaar, N.Larkey (c), J.Darling

FOLL: C.Coleman-Jones, L.Davies-Uniacke, H.Sheezel

I/C: A.Corr, G.Wardlaw, Z.Duursma, L.Parker, Z.Banch

EMG: L.Dovaston, W.Dawson, J.Konstanty

Team Tips: Don’t expect many unforced changes after arguably the club’s most spirited win yet under Alastair Clarkson over Carlton on Good Friday. However, there’s a growing chance they’ll have to replace young gun Finn O’Sullivan, who underwent surgery on his jaw on Tuesday. The Roos said in their injury update that he “could” miss, and while a prognosis on O’Sullivan remains unclear at this stage, it’s highly unlikely he’ll face Brisbane. Lachy Dovaston was technically rested against the Blues, but the first-year player doesn’t feel like an absolute lock to come straight back in. Zac Banch is probably the one who would make way if the Roos did recall Dovaston. Robert Hansen Jr (26 disposals), Zac Fisher (27 touches) and Jacob Konstanty (two goals from 17 touches) are other options to come into the mix for North after encouraging VFL performances, while Griffin Logue (hamstring) remains at least another week away.

Lions’ Round 4 side

B: K.Coleman, D.Joyce, R.Lester

HB: D.Wilmot, J.Fletcher, D.Zorko

C: B.Reville, W.Ashcroft, J.Berry

HF: C.Cameron, O.Allen, L.Ashcroft

F: S.Draper, C.Rayner, T.Gallop

FOLL: D.Fort, J.Dunkley (c), L.Neale

I/C: K.Lohmann, L.McCarthy, L.Morris, J.Tunstill, Z.Bailey

EMG: Z.Zakostelsky, S.Brain, R.Torrent

Team Tips: Set for one huge reinforcement, and maybe more, from the side that decimated Collingwood last Thursday night. Co-captain and star defender Harris Andrews is due to return from suspension in a big boost for the Lions’ back six. Meanwhile, fellow co-captain Hugh McCluggage could be back from a calf issue and get the Lions close enough to their optimal mix in a scary prospect for the rest of the league. He’s a test for Gather Round. So, who comes out? The two players who just came in, James Tunstill and Darragh Joyce, are the most obvious options. Zane Zakostelsky (17 disposals, seven marks, 28 hit-outs) and Will McLachlan (two goals from 23 touches) and Sam Marshall (26 disposals) all played well in the VFL, too, but this is a tough side to crack into. Noah Answerth’s return from a concussion is meanwhile up in the air.

Hawks claim MCG thriller against rivals | 03:21

ESSENDON v MELBOURNE

Saturday April 11, 1:15pm at Adelaide Oval

Bombers’ Round 4 side

B: J.Prior, B.McKay, A.McGrath (c)

HB: A.Roberts, Z.Reid, J.Farrow

C: X.Duursma, J.Caldwell, A.Day-Wicks

HF: J.Gresham, A.May, A.Perkins

F: I.Kako, P.Wright, K.Langford

FOLL: L.Blakiston, S.Durham, Z.Merrett

I/C: D.Parish, M.Guelfi, Z.Johnson, S.El-Hawli, T.Edwards

EMG: N.Cox, K.Gerreyn, J.Nguyen

Team Tips: Granted he clears concussion protocols, Nate Caddy would be a welcome return for the Bombers’ Gather Round clash after missing the loss to the Bulldogs. Jordan Ridley (18 disposals, 10 marks against Footscray) is also set to return after getting through his second VFL game, while Dyson Sharp (ankle) would also be in the mix if fit. But Brayden Fiorini (back) remains out of action for now. It’s unlikely the Bombers would make too many unforced changes, although Archie Perkins had eight touches and went at 20 per cent efficiency by foot from just 69 per cent game time and Matt Guelfi kicked 0.1 from five disposals and one tackle in the loss to the Dogs. Could they turn back to Elijah Tsatas? He’s had 68 disposals and 18 clearances combined across his past two VFL games – so he’s getting hard to ignore. Nick Bryan (10 disposals, 3 clearances, 27 hit-outs) was strong in his comeback from an ACL rupture but might be given more time at VFL level.

Demons’ Round 4 side

B: H.Petty, J.Lever, B.Howes

HB: X.Lindsay, T.McDonald, C.Salem

C: H.Sharp, J.Steele, C.Windsor

HF: L.Pickett, J.van Rooyen, E.Langdon

F: B.Fritsch, B.Mihocek, K.Pickett

FOLL: M.Gawn (c), T.Sparrow, J.Culley

I/C: H.Langford, D.Turner, K.Tholstrup, J.Melksham, K.Chandler

EMG: B.Laurie, M.Heath, L.Kentfield

Team Tips:Bayley Fritsch missed on the weekend with foot soreness. If he’s right to play, he’ll be a walk-up return. While the Demons are unlikely to make unforced changes after such an impressive win over the Suns, there were great signs in the VFL, with Aidan Johnson (4.3), Luker Kentfield (4.0) and Matthew Jefferson (3.2) all impressing for Casey Demons, while Max Heath monstered Box Hill’s rucks. And keep an eye on Xavier Taylor (15 disposals, 9 intercepts), who’s building nicely into his season. Elsewhere, Trent Rivers appears a chance to return. Coach Steven King told ABC Sport Rivers had “carried a grumbly knee” for a while and had been left out of the team as a result, but King insisted he wanted Rivers “back in this team as quickly as possible”.

Why Blues should trade Patrick Cripps | 02:01

SYDNEY SWANS v GOLD COAST SUNS

Saturday April 11, 4:15pm at Norwood Oval

Swans’ Round 4 side

B: L.Melican, T.McCartin, C.Mills (c)

HB: R.Bice, N.Blakey, D.Rampe

C: J.Serong, I.Heeney, M.Roberts

HF: Co.Warner, T.Papley, J.Rowbottom

F: J.Amartey, C.Curnow, J.Lloyd

FOLL: B.Grundy, Ch.Warner, A.Sheldrick

I/C: S.Wicks, J.Jordon, J.McInerney, H.Cunningham, L.McDonald

EMG: T.Hanily, H.McLean

Team Tips: You wouldn’t imagine there’ll be many changes following a 128-point win, but that could be determined by a small forward’s fitness. Malcolm Rosas was a very late change ahead of the West Coast clash with a calf injury, and he’ll be monitored throughout the week to determine if he can return against Gold Coast. Harry Cunningham was the late inclusion. Caiden Cleary was omitted to accommodate Isaac Heeney’s return from a hamstring injury, and he looked like his normal self in what was a best-on-ground performance. The Swans’ side is pretty set, but there were a few standout performers in the VFL side’s win over Port Melbourne on Saturday. Jesse Dattoli popped up frequently, kicking two goals from 16 touches. Billy Cootee looked promising in his first VFL match of the season, notching 20 disposals — and as a mature-aged draftee, he might get an AFL look-in sooner rather than later. Joel Hamling, meanwhile, kicked three goals in a swingman role, while Patrick Snell had 15 intercepts as a key-position prospect.

Suns’ Round 4 side

B: C.Ballard, S.Collins, M.Andrew

HB: J.Noble, B.Uwland, D.Rioli

C: L.Weller, W.Powell, S.Clohesy

HF: B.Long, T.Miller, W.Graham

F: E.Read, B.King, L.Lombard

FOLL: J.Witts, N.Anderson (c), M.Rowell

I/C: J.Walter, J.Jeffrey, J.Rogers, Z.Uwland, L.Gulbin

EMG: A.Davies, O.Adams, J.Farrar

Team Tips: After his side’s first loss of the season, Damien Hardwick could swing a couple of changes ahead of a Gather Round grudge match against Sydney, which is coming off a 21-goal win. Christian Petracca, who was last week listed as 1-3 weeks away with his hamstring injury, shapes as an outside chance to return for Gather Round. He’s been listed by the club as a test to play the Swans, but Jon Ralph believes it’s more likely he’ll be given another week on the sidelines to recover. One forced change, though, is Jake Rogers’ exit from the side, entering concussion protocols after reporting post-game symptoms. Ben Jepson kicked two goals from 29 disposals in the VFL as a potential Rogers replacement, while midfielder Alex Davies had 22 disposals and a major after getting dropped to the twos. Bailey Humphrey will spend another week on the sidelines due to suspension, while Jamarra Ugle-Hagan remains out of action after a meniscus procedure.

‘We found unique ways to NOT score’ | 11:51

HAWTHORN v WESTERN BULLDOGS

Saturday April 11, 7:35pm at Adelaide Oval

Hawks’ Round 4 side

B: J.Scrimshaw, T.Barrass, J.Impey

HB: J.Battle, J.Sicily, B.Hardwick

C: M.D’Ambrossio, J.Dalton, F.Perez

HF: J.Ginnivan, M.Chol, N.Watson

F: D.Moore, C.Macdonald, J.Gunston

FOLL: N.Reeves, J.Newcombe, J.Ward

INT: J.Weddle, L.Meek, C.Nash, M.Lewis, S.Butler

EMG: H.Morrison, W.McCabe, M.Ramsen

Team Tips:

Team Tips: A tough, team-orientated win from the Hawks over the Cats. Even inclusions Jack Dalton and Flynn Perez were big in crucial moments throughout the game. The duo came in for Karl Amon and Cam Mackenzie, who both missed with knee issues. There were a couple of injury scares throughout the game, with Jack Gunston clutching his right hamstring in the third term – only to return and kick the match-winning behind – and captain James Sicily, who went into the rooms with “a stinger” but returned to take a match-winning intercept mark. The Hawks will be hopeful both stars will be right to face the Dogs. One intriguing question mark remains over the two-ruck approach, with Ned Reeves now the clear No.1 ruck over Lloyd Meek. Do the Hawks persist with the approach against a Bulldogs side without Tim English this weekend? Some strong performances in the VFL, with draftee Aidan Schubert a standout with 5.2 from 12 touches and seven marks. Finn Maginness (31 disposals, 12 clearances) and Henry Hustwaite (28 disposals, 5 clearances) also found plenty of the footy in Box Hill’s tight loss to Casey.

Bulldogs’ Round 4 side

B: L.Jaques, B.Khamis, R.Lobb

HB: C.Budarick, J.O’Donnell, B.Dale

C: O.Baker, M.Bontempelli (c), B.Williams

HF: R.West, S.Darcy, J.Freijah

F: J.Croft, A.Naughton, A.Jones

FOLL: T.English, R.Sanders, J.Freijah

I/C: J.Dolan, L.Bramble, M.Sellwood, S.Davidson, L.McNeil

EMG: W.Lewis, L.Emmett

Team Tips: The win over Essendon came at a cost, with Tim English (knee), Ed Richards (knee) and Arty Jones (hamstring) all set to spend time on the sidelines. Richards was a late out – and replaced by Lachie McNeill – while English and Jones picked up in-game injuries. With English set to miss the game against Hawthorn, the Dogs could turn to impressive draftee Louis Emmett for a debut. Emmett, 200cm, was excellent for Footscray in the VFL win over Essendon, booting 3.1 from 21 disposals, eight marks and eight clearances. The Dogs could take a punt on Emmett – or back-up ruck Lachlan Smith – or shift the likes of Rory Lobb and Jordan Croft into the ruck to take on Ned Reeves and Lloyd Meek. More ruck time for Croft could bring Will Lewis – who’s kicked eight goals from two VFL games – into calculations, while Jedd Busslinger might be a look-in if Lobb needs to play more ruck. Laitham Vandermeer would also be in the mix if deemed fit to return from concussion, along with Cooper Hynes, considering Jones’ absence.

GEELONG CATS v WEST COAST EAGLES

Sunday April 12, 12:30pm at Norwood Oval

Cats’ Round 4 side

Team Tips: Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield – who’s played just one game so far this season – is hopeful of returning from a calf injury against West Coast, but is no guarantee to feature at this stage. The Cats managed Mark O’Connor, so he’s a likely inclusion, while Jhye Clark and James Worpel put their hands up for a re-call with 19 and 24 touches respectively in the VFL. In terms of who could go out, Brad Close was serviceable in his return without being outstanding, while Shaun Mannagh post-match admitted to CODE Sports he had a stinker of a day against the Hawks. Would the Cats make a bold call with one of their half-forwards?

Eagles’ Round 4 side

B: L.Duggan, T.Young, B.Hough

HB: J.Lindsay, R.Ginbey, L.Baker (c)

C: B.Allan, J.Graham, T.McCarthy

HF: W.Duursma, J.Shanahan, H.Davis

F: C.Duff-Tytler, J.Waterman, J.Cripps

FOLL: M.Flynn, H.Reid, T.Kelly

I/C: M.Owies, A.Reid, M.Champion, S.Brock, H.Schoenberg

EMG: E.Hewett, T.Cole, B.Williams

Team Tips: No matter how young or inexperienced you are, after a 128-point loss, there must be change, right? Eight players finished without a single tackle and 11 players failed to reach double digits for disposals. There is pressure on ruck Matt Flynn, who was monstered by Brodie Grundy on Saturday night following lacklustre performances against Jarrod Witts and Tristan Xerri in previous games. The day before, Bailey Williams put together a dominant WAFL display in the ruck, finishing with 11 disposals, 34 hit-outs, five marks and two. In terms of possible inclusions, recruit Deven Robertson will be available for selection after serving his one-match ban, veteran Elliot Yeo is a chance to return this week from a groin issue and Elijah Hewett is in the mix after decent WAFL outing against Perth. But Milan Murdock is still at least a week away from returning.

GWS GIANTS v RICHMOND

Sunday April 12, 3:15pm at Barossa Park

Giants’ Round 3 side

B: H.Himmelberg, C.Idun, J.Laverde

HB: L.Whitfield, L.Ash, J.Fonti

C: R.Angwin, C.Oliver, H.Thomas

HF: P.Gothard, J.Riccardi, X.O’Halloran

F: J.Stringer, J.Hogan, C.Brown

FOLL: K.Briggs, T.Greene (c), F.Callaghan

I/C: J.Leake, S.Coniglio, J.Delana, O.Hannaford, M.Gruzewski

EMG: C.Stone, L.Aleer, H.Rowston

Team Tips: A few names could return for the Giants ahead of a quietly critical clash for Adam Kingsley’s side, with Toby Bedford, Aaron Cadman and Brent Daniels the big names in with a chance of returning to the fold against Richmond. It comes as Jack Buckley progresses out of concussion protocols, set to return to the senior side. Josiah Delana could be vulnerable at selection after managing one kick in 65 per cent time on ground against the Pies two weeks ago. Like the seniors, the VFL side had a bye at the weekend. The week previous, Harry Rowston responded to his omission with 26 disposals and six clearances, while Toby McMullin kicked a goal from 22 touches. Conor Stone tallied 22 disposals, nine marks and two goals to press his case for a recall, as he, Rowston and Leek Aleer were named emergencies for the Giants in Round 3.

Tigers’ Round 4 side

B: T.Brown, B.Miller, L.Trainor

HB: S.Banks, J.Short, N.Vlastuin

C: K.McAuliffe, D.Prestia, T.Sonsie

HF: S.Campbell, J.Ross, S.Green

F: J.Faull, S.Lalor, M.Lefau

FOLL: S.Ryan, T.Taranto (c), J.Hopper

I/C: N.Broad, L.Fawcett, M.Rioli, C.Gray, S.Grlj

EMG: J.Trezise, P.Retschko, Z.Peucker

Team Tips: After a disheartening loss to Port Adelaide, changes are coming at the selection table. And one of them will be forced, with Samson Ryan serving a one-match suspension for striking Jordon Sweet off the ball. And, frankly, even if he was available for selection, he might’ve had trouble keeping his spot after what was a rough showing against the Power. Thus, after he was overlooked for a debut last week, Category B rookie ruckman Ollie Hayes-Brown appears the likely inclusion to face Kieren Briggs as Toby Nankervis remains sidelined for at least another month. Former NBL prospect Hayes-Brown tallied 23 disposals and 10 clearances against St Kilda in a standout VFL performance, while offseason recruit Patrick Retschko had 22 possessions and four clearances. Retschko could put pressure on Kane McAuliffe at selection after the left-footer went at 36 per cent by foot against the Power. Otherwise, fellow winger Hugo Ralphsmith (knee) has been listed as a test and could return against GWS. Noah Balta (hamstring tightness) and Josh Gibcus (soreness) are also tests, and if either of them returns to the senior side, Campbell Gray’s spot in the side would become vulnerable. James Trezise and Zane Peucker were the other emergencies last week. Sam Cumming returned to VFL action on managed minutes, a positive sign that he could make his AFL debut in the coming weeks.

PORT ADELAIDE v ST KILDA

Sunday April 12, 7:15pm at Adelaide Oval

Power’s Round 4 side

B: J.Burgoyne, L.Jones, M.Bergman

HB: L.Evans, A.Aliir, K.Farrell

C: E.Mackinlay, J.Horne-Francis, J.Wehr

HF: J.Lukosius, M.Georgiades, J.Berry

F: D.Byrne-Jones, J.Whitlock, J.Richards

FOLL: J.Sweet, Z.Butters (c), W.Drew

I/C: C.Durdin, O.Wines, J.Watkins, M.Zadow, J.Lai

EMG: W.Brodie, D.Visentini, B.Zerk-Thatcher

Team Tips: The only concern coming out of the Power’s win over Richmond was an ankle injury to Kane Farrell. He played out the match but could be in doubt to face the Saints this week. Port could be boosted by the return of defender Todd Marshall, who’s been sidelined recently with an ankle issue. In the SANFL, Jackson Mead responded to his demotion with 31 disposals and four clearances for the Magpies, while Will Lorenz had 26 touches and nine clearances.

Saints’ Round 3 side

B: J.Silvagni, C.Wilkie, D.Howard

HB: L.Stocker, B.Hill, N.Wanganeen-Milera

C: M.Windhager, M.Hall, D.Wilson

HF: H.Garcia, M.Wood, M.Owens

F: J.Higgins, C.Sharman, R.Marshall

FOLL: T.De Koning, S.Flanders, J.Sinclair (c)

I/C: D.Butler, J.Carroll, M.Phillipou, A.Tauru, L.Ryan

EMG: L.Collard, A.Hastie, H.Boxshall

Team Tips: Back to the drawing for Ross Lyon and the Saints after a week off as they look to improve on an underwhelming 1-3 start to the season. Hunter Clark (29 disposals, 11 marks) firmly put his hand up for an inclusion to the senior team for the first time in 2026 with a strong VFL outing. Meanwhile Jack Macrae should be ready to return from a knee injury. Cooper Sharman’s status is up in the air after the forward suffered a concussion against Brisbane a fortnight ago. Dan Butler, Liam Stocker and Jack Carroll could also face selection pressure, depending on how many changes Ross Lyon wants to make from a team that was competitive against Brisbane for the majority of the game.
