The Wests Tigers topped Parramatta 30-18 in the clubs’ pre-season trial clash at Leichhardt Oval, but it was a bit of fun on the Eels’ sidelines at the end of the first half that had the broadcast most engaged.
As Doueihi lined up for his conversion, Parramatta’s Addo-Carr gave his best efforts at putting off his Tigers counterpart, making loud, undecipherable noises.
“Yabbering away is Josh Addo-Carr. Like, he is seriously chattering away,” Fox League caller Andrew Voss said.
Greg Alexander added: “He can’t be making noises like that!”
And while Doueihi could be seen grinning in response to ‘Foxx’s encouragement, his kick swung right-to-left and sailed through.
“Here we go … Doueihi right to left! Hey Foxx, put that in your pipe and smoke it!” exclaimed Voss.
Doueihi looked to be combining beautifully Lachie Galvin, but the Tigers’ positive tune-up was soured somewhat by reports veteran centre Brent Naden suffered a dislocated kneecap.
