The Raiders released a statement that Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies are to front the media to comment on the hotel incident.
“Canberra Raiders players available for comment regarding incident in Las Vegas on Thursday night – Hudson Young and Morgan Smithies,” the statement read.
Channel Nine’s Danny Weidler revealed on X formerly Twitter the Raiders pair have been disciplined by the club.
Canberra will take on the Warriors in the second of four games on Sunday (AEDT).
The Daily Telegraph reported the players were evicted briefly from the hotel on their first night following confusion over a room booking.
It is understood the players came to blows through frustration.
There were initial fears players were holding a baseball bat when security attended following the commotion.
It later emerged that it was an inflatable baseball bat.
Raiders coach Ricky Stuart confirmed the incident.
“I have spoken to the players who are very embarrassed,” Stuart said. “The behaviour was unacceptable. The club will deal with this strongly.”
One of the Raiders players involved in the scuffle did not have an allocated room which prompted the disagreement with his teammate.
There was no police involvement. The NRL are aware of the incident.
The players are expected to front the media on Monday morning (local time) to address the saga.
