Rival clubs continue to ask the question of star St Kilda defender Callum Wilkie.
Foxfooty.com.au understands clubs are still exploring if they can lure Wilkie out of the Saints amid an aggressive recruiting drive at Moorabbin.
The Western Bulldogs have gone one step further, launching a mega bid for the All-Australian backman with a multi-year deal worth over $1 million per season after the Dogs missed out on Jack Silvagni’s signature.

Wilkie, who has two years to run on his St Kilda deal and is regarded as a potential future skipper, is yet to be offered a contract upgrade by the Saints after developing into one of the game’s elite defenders in recent years while the club splurges on the market.
Those talks could yet ramp up in the coming weeks.
It’s understood the 29-year old defender, who recently returned from an overseas trip, has been watching what moves St Kilda makes.
Ross Lyon’s side has secured free agents Silvagni and Tom De Koning on lucrative deals and has links to Leek Aleer, Liam Ryan, Sam Flanders and others.
It’s believed Silvagni’s new Saints contract, that could be worth as much as $850,000 per season, would see the former Blue paid more than Wilkie.
The Saints also locked away Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera on a $2 million-a-season extension in a bold spending spree for 2026 and beyond.
Still, prying Wilkie out of St Kilda would clearly be difficult given he’s under contract until 2027.
Marcus Windhager remains unsigned for next year amid rival interest, while there’s a trade watch on Rowan Marshall and Jack Steele ahead of next month’s exchange period.
