The Australian women’s rugby league side have had a scheduled camp on the Gold Coast scrapped last minute under mysterious circumstances just over a month out from their historic test against England in Las Vegas.

The members of the Jillaroos squad were due to arrive on the Gold Coast on Saturday morning but were notified on Friday night that the camp had been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances according to Code Sports.
A scheduled media opportunity today was also canned.
It’s a massive setback for the Jillaroos, who will head to the US in a month’s time ahead of their Test against England on March 2 (AEDT).
The Jillaroos’ last game was a 24-4 win against New Zealand during the Pacific Championships. They haven’t played England since the 2017 World Cup, which Australia won 38-0.
The Jillaroos and England fixture is a part of a new and improved schedule to celebrate the start of the 2025 season.
In addition to the two NRL games, a women’s Test match and a Super League fixture has been added to the docket on March 2.
It’s unknown whether the Jillaroos’ camp will be rescheduled.
