Former unified world champion Keith Thurman has responded to Tim Tszyu’s call-out, agreeing to battle the Australian down under and vowing to “sign the contract by tonight”.
Tszyu channelled Mike Tyson by calling out Thurman following his fourth-round TKO victory over Joey Spencer in Newcastle on Sunday. The 30-year-old disposed of the American to rebound in emphatic fashion from two-straight defeats to Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev, setting up a potential fight with Thurman in July.
Last month, Thurman declared he would agree to a fight Tszyu should both win their upcoming headliners, holding up his side of the deal by making easy work of Brock Jarvis.

And after destroying Spencer, Tszyu didn’t shy away from calling out Thurman.
“Sign the contract, big boy. Sign the contract,” Tszyu said, mimicking Tyson.
“If the fans want it, we can bring a mega-show to Australia.”

In response, Thurman shared a video to Instagram on Monday morning, promising to give Tszyu a “good fight”.
“Congratulations Tim Tszyu,” Thurman said in the clip.
“I see you got through with that appetiser, I got through with mine.
“I got him out in three, you got him out in four.
“I don’t know about you boy, but I’m still hungry.
“Send the contract, I’ll sign it by tonight, I promise you.
“I’ll come to Australia and give you a good fight. Let’s go.”Last month, No Limit chief executive George Rose was already drawing up plans for Thurman to face Tszyu on the Gold Coast in early July.
“If Keith Thurman wins this fight he will fight Tim Tszyu in his next fight,” Rose said in March.
“If Brock Jarvis wins this fight, he will fight Nikita Tszyu next.”
