Mitch Creek headlines the Australian Boomers squad for the upcoming FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers, with several key names returning after last year’s 2–0 series win over New Zealand Tall Blacks in Tasmania.
Basketball Australia confirmed Creek’s inclusion following earlier Fox Sports Australia reports, with the squad featuring a refreshed mix of experience and new talent.

Familiar faces include Jack White, David Okwera, Sam Froling, Reyne Smith and two-time Olympian Nick Kay.
Creek’s first Boomers appearance since the 2019 World Cup adds valuable leadership to a group featuring several debutants. Tanner Krebs, Jacob Holt and Kody Stattmann are set for their senior international debuts, while Elijah Pepper and Isaac White return with prior Boomers experience.
Australia will face Guam and the Philippines, in their first game in the latter nation since the infamous ‘Basketbrawl’ when 13 players were suspended.
John Rillie will serve as head coach, supported by assistants Luke Brennan, Robbie McKinlay and David Barlow.
