Supercars grid complete after last team confirms 2026 line-up

Aaron Cameron is the last driver to secure a 2026 full-time Supercars contract after Blanchard Racing Team recommitted to the rookie for another year.

Cameron joined the team one race into the season after Aaron Love was dropped from the team following a tough first round in Sydney, and despite an understandably slow start, the 25-year-old has grown in strength through the campaign.

His performance last time out on the Gold Coast was particularly strong, culminating in his first top-10 shootout appearance of the season and just his third top-10 race finish, having also finished inside the 10 at the Bathurst 1000.

Cameron re-signing with the team has long been considered a formality, and on the eve of the Sandown 500, BRT has locked him in to partner the incoming James Golding in 2026.

“I’ve learnt a lot in my first full year in Supercars, and I feel like we’ve made big steps forward as a team,” he said. “Every round I’ve become more comfortable in the car and more confident out on track

“The team has given me the tools and support to keep improving, and we’ve got a really good thing going heading into next year.

“I’m stoked to continue working with everyone at BRT and to push for even stronger results in 2026.”

Team principal Tim Blanchard said keeping Cameron on the books was a reward for his rate of improvement and would also give the team continuity into next season.

“Aaron has shown great growth across his first season with us, and it’s been really rewarding to see his confidence and speed develop round by round,” he said.

“We’re finishing the year on a strong note, and it’s important we continue that trajectory into 2026.

“Retaining Aaron gives us stability and a solid foundation to keep building on the progress we’ve made as a team.”

Team manager Kate Harrington expected Cameron to play a more significant role in the team’s results next season, when it will lose the services of the retiring James Courtney.

“From the start Aaron’s approach has really stood out,” he said. “He’s put in the effort to learn, to improve and to become a more complete driver as the season’s gone on.

“The growth he’s shown gives us confidence that he can play a big part in taking BRT forward. We’re proud to continue that journey with him.”

PIT TALK: Lando Norris has taken a commanding 24-point championship lead after dominating the race weekend in Brazil, but the blow to Oscar Piastri’s title hopes was partially inflicted by the stewards, who slapped him with a controversial 10-second penalty. Was the infringement a fair cop or over the top?

SUPERCARS 2026 GRID LOCKED IN

Cameron’s signature completes the 2026 Supercars grid, with all full-time seats now accounted for.

Bryce Fullwood and Jaxon Evans from Brad Jones Racing and Richie Stanaway from PremiAir have all been left without seats. Stanaway’s season has already ended, with the team replacing him from this weekend with 2026 full-time debutant Jayden Ojeda.

Evans has locked down a co-driving role with Walkinshaw Andretti United alongside full-timer Ryan Wood.

Fullwood and Stanaway, however, have yet to confirm plans for next season.

Courtney, who couldn’t be convinced to continue full-time with BRT, has switched to Team 18 as a co-driver for the General Motors homologation squad.

Nick Percat has also announced his retirement from full-time competition; the South Australian confirmed today that he would replace Jamie Whincup as Broc Feeney’s co-driver at Triple Eight from next season.

Next year’s grid will feature five rookies undertaking their maiden full-time seasons.

Jackson Walls will line up for Triple Eight in the team’s SCT Logistics entry after the brand defected from Brad Jones Racing.

Rylan Gray will compete for Dick Johnson Racing, where he will replace Will Davison, who announced in October he would leave the team despite still being under contract.

Matt Stone Racing will give Zach Bates his full-time debut alongside Jack le Brocq in an all-new 2026 line-up.

Ojeda will make his full-time debut for PremiAir this weekend ahead of his first full campaign next year, when he’ll be joined by returning full-timer Declan Fraser.

Jobe Stewart will step up at Erebus, replacing the outbound Le Brocq.
