Port Adelaide’s Aliir Aliir has been involved in a brief yet heated confrontation with a Swans fan, who threw an object at the All-Australian defender during the final quarter of Sunday’s match at the SCG.
Aliir on Sunday took an intercept mark in the goalsquare running back with the flight of the ball before stepping towards the boundary fence.
As Aliir got closer to the front of the SCG grandstand, a Swans fan appeared to throw an object at the Power player.

A stunned Aliir then confronted the supporter, who quickly sat down in their seat.
“That’s just not on,” Brownlow Medallist Gerard Healy told Fox Footy.
Fox Footy commentator Corbin Middlemas added: “What could you possibly be thinking doing that?”
Channel 9 chief football reporter Tom Morris wrote on X that police were investigating the incident, according to the Swans.
The AFL, meanwhile, is gathering information about the incident.
Aliir spent seven years on the Swans’ list before being traded to Port Adelaide after the 2020 season.
