A third party representing Titans forward David Fifita has approached the South Sydney Rabbitohs to gauge their interest in signing the former Queensland Origin star.

The Daily Telegraph reported a third party has reached out to Souths about Fifita, despite the Titans star not being eligible to negotiate with rivals until November 30.
Wayne Bennett coached Fifita for one season in 2018, before joining the Rabbitohs for his first stint at Redfern in 2019.
The Rabbitohs are desperate to bolster their forward pack after a horror season that has seen them competing to avoid the wooden spoon.
The Rabbitohs remain cautious given Fifita has twice previously been linked to the club, only for talks to fall over.
Souths won’t act on any approach until legally permitted under NRL rules.
However, a sticking point could be money with Fifita on around $800,000 a season at the Titans.

The third-party approach comes as Fifita was spotted chatting with Souths players well after last Sunday’s Spoon Bowl at Cbus Super Stadium.
Fifita would likely have to take a pay cut to join Souths, who have some room in their cap with Josh Schuster, Fletcher Myles and Shaq Mitchell moving on at the end of the season.
Fifita backflipped on a $3.3 million four year deal to join the Roosters last season to sign an extension with the Titans through until the end of the 2026 season. But that shows he is open to moving to Sydney.

Fifita is off-contract with the Titans at the end of the 2026 season, but has had a tumultuous season under Des Hasler in 2025.
Fifita has suffered multiple ankle injuries after he was dropped by Hasler early in the season, which sparked rumours he may look to leave the club early.
The 25-year-old has scored 50 tries in 134 NRL games for the Broncos and Titans since his debut in 2018, but has only scored one try in eight appearances this season.
Fifita was regarded as one of the best forwards in the game from an early age, but his career has stalled at the Gold Coast and he played the last of his eight Origins in 2023.
