English sensation Luke Littler has secured victory in the Australian Darts Masters final, avenging his loss 12 months earlier.
The 18-year-old gun travelled to Wollongong last year and went down to Gerwyn Price in last year’s final, a performance he wasn’t too proud of.
“Yeah, eight-one loss in the final. It wasn’t the prettiest, but this is why we’ve come back over. We came back over for ourselves, we came to see the fans,” Littler said to foxsports.com.au ahead of the event.

“Obviously once Friday night comes, that’s when we go to work. Hopefully for myself I can do one better and try and pick up a title Down Under.”
And pick up a title he has, downing Belgian Mike de Decker in the final after beating Stephen Bunting 7-4 in the semi-final.
De Decker had an impressive run before meeting Littler, downing superstar Luke Humphries on his way to face Littler.

However, the rising star proved too strong, adding another title to an already impressive resume.
“It feels very good… I played very well tonight, I didn’t play so well last night but tonight is what really mattered,” Littler said after the win.
He recently won the World Matchplay, becoming just the fifth player ever to claim the coveted ‘Triple Crown’ — the title for winning the PDC’s three biggest events.
In the UK, Littler was the third most searched person on Google, behind only Catherine, Princess of Wales, and US president elect Donald Trump.
“Luke Littler, outstanding. He is the new Australian Darts champion… tonight the world champ has been too good,” the commentators said.
“Unstoppable.”
