LAS VEGAS — Australia’s Tim Tszyu has been declared “the more physically imposing fighter” after officially making weight for his world title here inside the MGM Grand.
Only a day out from his hyped T Mobile Arena blockbuster against American Sebastian Fundora, Tszyu has hit the scales at 152.8pds (69.3kg).
While Fundora weighed in exactly the same at the official weighs in – which were not open to the media – No Limit CEO George Rose insisted his superstar charge looked “imposing”.
Which is no easy thing either given Fundora stands 197cm tall – or 12cm taller than ‘The Soul Taker’.

The difference has been described in Las Vegas this week as the biggest world title height difference outside of heavyweight clashes.
Tszyu and Lara will face off for the last time at the official weigh-ins, which will be shown live in Australia at 7am.

Asked how Tszyu looked at the official weigh-ins, Rose replied: “He’s at his absolute depletion, and still looks physically imposing.
“Of the two on the scales, Tim looked much more physically imposing.
“And he’s about to swell back up.
“Will look amazing, even in the next couple of hours.”

Later, the promoter added of Tszyu: “Rippling abs, big chest, a fighter ready to go.
“He’s on.
“Absolutely switched on. You can see it in his eyes.
“He wants this, he wants it badly and he wants it more than anyone else.”
Elsewhere, fellow Australian Michael Zerafa weighed 159.8pds (72.5kg) while champion Erislandy Lara was 158.6 pounds (71.9kg).
