The Warriors have granted Dylan Walker an immediate release, with the star utility set to return to Sydney and join Parramatta.
Walker was granted his request on compassionate grounds just three rounds into what was the final season of a three-year deal with the Warriors.
Warriors CEO Cameron George says the club understands Walker’s situation and his desire to return back to Australia.

We were keen for Dylan to stay until the end of the season but we appreciate why he needs to return to Sydney,” George said via a club-issued statement.
“We’ve really enjoyed having him at our club and he has given us tremendous service. He goes with our support and best wishes.”
The 30-year-old will join the Eels immediately and could be available for the team’s Round 5 clash against the Dragons Saturday week.
Walker’s deal with Parramatta is said to be for the remainder of 2025 and an additional year in 2026.
He’ll provide much-needed depth in a range of positions to the struggling side, with Walker able to play lock, second row and five-eighth.

“Dylan is such a tough competitor who will suit our style of football and he will provide class and experience to our team.”
