The Chiefs, led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a stifling defence, are trying to become the first team to win three Super Bowls in a row – completing their three-peat.
They’re already the first team to win two Super Bowls in a row and make it back to the Super Bowl the next year.
This is the Chiefs’ seventh Super Bowl appearance all-time, winning Super Bowls IV, LIV, LVII (over the Eagles) and LVIII, while losing Super Bowls I and LV. It is their fourth Super Bowl in five seasons.
The Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts and superstar running back recruit Saquon Barkley, are looking to avenge their 2023 Super Bowl loss to Kansas City.
This is their fifth Super Bowl appearance all-time, winning Super Bowl LII, while losing Super Bowls XV, XXXIX and LVII (to the Chiefs).
Kansas City went 15-2 in the 2024 season and is narrowly favoured to win the Super Bowl. Philadelphia went 14-3.
