Last year, it was West Coast’s Harley Reid who was taken at Pick 1 in the draft — but this year, it could be any of several guns; albeit one has shone late as the likely candidate.
All of Sam Lalor, Jagga Smith, Finn O’Sullivan look to be a live chance of having their name called first, while Sid Draper and Harvey Langford look likely to round out the top five; plus, the impending father-son bid on Levi Ashcroft will come very early on in the night.
And while Lalor has since emerged as Richmond’s likely selection with their Pick 1, this has widely been regarded as one of the most even and talented draft pools in a long time; similar to that of 2018.
From where to watch, what time the draft starts and the picking order from start to finish — here’s everything else you need to know ahead of the 2024 AFL National Draft!
