When is the F1 season launch and how can I watch?

The 2025 Formula One season will officially launch on Wednesday morning Australian time with all ten teams set to unveil their cars at London’s O2 Arena.

The two-hour event, dubbed F1 75 in honour of the world championship’s 75th anniversary, will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo from 7am AEDT on Wednesday 19 February as each team presents their drivers and car however they like in a seven-minute timeslot.

All 20 drivers will be in attendance along with all ten team principals.

No team has revealed their colour scheme, called liveries, prior to the London show with McLaren and Williams sporting interim colour schemes at their launches at Silverstone last week.

Last year, Kick Sauber caught the eye with their new green and black livery, and it will be interesting to see if any of the teams display a striking new look.

It will be the first time Lewis Hamilton steps out publicly representing Ferrari after the seven-time world champion sensationally jumped ship from Mercedes.

Ferrari will also do their own thing in addition to F1 75 however, with an official launch the following morning with Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc doing a test run at the Fiorano track near their Italian headquarters.

Australian Jack Doohan will be unveiled for Alpine ahead of his first season with a full-time seat as several teams showcase new partnerships, while countryman Oscar Piastri will be there for McLaren after recently being hailed as a potential world champion this season.

The London event will also feature famous English comedian and actor Jack Whitehall as host, while English pop group Take That will perform.

So too will American country star Kane Brown alongside rapper Machine Gun Kelly and Brian Tyler, the composer of F1’s official theme song.
