It’s been a series played in brilliant spirit, and the class of the Pakistan side was again on full display despite a 3-0 series loss, with captain Shan Mahood presenting outgoing star David Warner with a parting gift.
Warner was dismissed for 57 in his final innings, and the respect of the Pakistan team towards a great of Australian cricket was obvious for all to see.
At the end of Mahood’s interview with Fox Cricket’s Isa Guha, the Pakistan skipper called up Warner on stage.

“We just thought we’d give you Babar Azam’s shirt as a gesture and a parting gift and we wish you all the best,” Masood said to Warner.
Every Pakistani player made an effort to congratulate Warner during the handshakes between teams at the conclusion of Australia’s eight wicket win.
Noticeably, rested quick bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi shared a lengthy hug with Warner.

Shaheen and Warner have had their moments on the field, including a verbal exchange in the first Test at Perth of this series and a lengthy staredown during the 2022 tour of Pakistan.
However, it’s clear the two have a healthy respect for each other and strong off-field relationship.
“The respect shown by the opposition throughout this series has been second-to-none,” Adam Gilchrist said on Fox Cricket.
