The coronial inquest into the death of Sea Eagles player Keith Titmuss is set to begin on Monday with former coach Des Hasler and ex-teammates to provide evidence.
The 20-year-old collapsed and suffered a seizure during a Manly training session in 2020 and later died due to a cardiac arrest, shocking the rugby league world.
Titmuss was taken to the Northern Beaches Hospital following the incident before being transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital.

Now the SMH is reporting the coronial inquest is set to last more than a week and will finally provide Titmuss’ family with answers regarding his death.
Sea Eagles chief executive Tony Mestrov, who joined the club in 2022, explained that Titmuss “won’t be forgotten” and explained the club will fully participate in the inquest.
“The Manly Warringah Sea Eagles Rugby League Club expresses their condolences to Keith’s family and friends,” Mestrov said.
“Keith was highly respected by his teammates and coaching staff. Keith’s death both shocked and devastated the club’s staff and players. He won’t be forgotten.

“Manly welcomes the opportunity to be involved in the inquest, particularly because we’re hoping it might provide some answers for Keith’s family and manage the risks that come with playing elite sport.
“It’s a unique and important opportunity to enhance player safety and welfare. Manly prioritises player safety and welfare. We’ll continue to provide assistance and support to Keith’s teammates and friends.”
Josh Schuster, Moses Suli and Sione Fainu are all set to provide evidence in the inquest.
The Sea Eagles posthumously named Titmuss first grade player number 623, with Manly’s NSW Cup and junior teams sporting his initials on their jersey in 2021.
