Sydney AFLW star Chloe Molloy’s season is over after suffering an ACL injury.
Molloy reportedly suffered the injury at training during the week and was a late out of her side’s week two clash against St Kilda in Moorabbin.
“Incredibly devastating news for the Swans skipper,” Herald Sun journalist Lauren Wood told Fox Footy’s broadcast.

“It’s a devastating blow for Sydney, she is a crucial part of their setup and their leadership as co-captain,” she said.
“I understand she suffered this injury a couple of days ago at training and was kicking goals from the boundary just minutes later, so the assumption was that maybe she was fine or that it was a minor issue, but she presented with some more swelling yesterday and scans have revealed that devastating blow.
“It’s incredibly sad for Sydney. The understanding is that the players currently aren’t aware of this, Sydney are hoping to keep it that way.
Recruited by the Swans before the start of last season, Molloy’s signing was a massive coup for the expansion side.
The Swans co-captain is a three-time All-Australian and has become one of the competition’s most recognisable faces in just 59 career matches.
